Visit Marrakech museums tour will allow you to enjoy a nice walk in the famous Majorelle Garden that contains about 300 species of exotic plants on almost one hectare in Marrakech. Created in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle and bought by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1980, the Majorelle has become a haven of freshness. In the middle of the Majorelle garden there is an old blue villa transferred to a Berber museum. It exhibits clothing and jewelry from various Berber tribes of Morocco as well as personal collections of Pierre Bergé. Travel through its four thematic rooms: Introduction to Berber culture, know-how, ornaments and ceremonies.
A few steps away from the Majorelle gardens (150 m), you will reach the fans line of the famous fashion designer Yves Saint Laurant to discover his legacy which contains forty years of creation of the house fashion (1962 - 2002). Composed of terracotta, brick, bush-hammered concrete, tinted granite, zellige and fragments of Moroccan stones, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech is an extraordinary piece by its contemporary and Moroccan architecture. Inside, a light passes through the colored stained-glass windows to reflect on the white floor of a circular patio immersed in a lace of red stones. In the middle, there is a giant YSL logo that serves as background for the first photographs of the visitors, then an inner garden with green zellige walls. Admire a selection of the designer's main creations as well as models rarely presented to the public with no fewer than 250 figures. On the walls, work boards and sketches are appreciated while being lulled by the stylist sound recordings. This new museum of Marrakech has a library of old books, an auditorium Pierre Bergé, a café studio, and a gallery dedicated to photographers who have marked the world of Yves Saint Laurent.
Your last stop is a getaway to the Palm Grove of Marrakech to discover the Palmeraie Museum which presents exhibitions of contemporary Moroccan art. This museum-garden is founded by Aberrazzak Benchaâbane, who is a doctor of state in vegetal and ethno botanist ecology. Admire the permanent exhibition of contemporary Moroccan artists as well as calligraphy, paintings, installations and sculptures.
Stroll to the energizing and soothing garden surrounding the museum, which features an impressive collection of cacti, an Andalusian garden and a water garden. Impressive in its diversity, this garden is an Eden where you can hear the birds singing.
Visit the educational spaces for the destitute children who live in Dar Tounsi, Douar Alboune and the neighboring douars.
